Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning teacher tenure.

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the School Code. In a Section allowing a board of education (other than Chicago) to borrow money and issue negotiable coupon bonds for the purpose of building, equipping, altering, or repairing school buildings, purchasing or improving school sites, acquiring and equipping playgrounds, recreation grounds, athletic fields, and other buildings or land, purchasing a site, building a house or houses on such site, or building a house or houses for residential purposes of the superintendent, principal, or teachers, provides that the provisions of the Section concerning notice of the bond referendum apply to the consolidated election held on April 17, 2007 at which not less than 60% of the voters voting on the bond proposition voted in favor of the bond proposition. Effective immediately.
