Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Election Code. Permits a person to vote by absentee ballot on the basis that he or she is 65 years old or older.

Fiscal Note (State Board of Elections)
House Bill 128, as introduced, would have a minimal fiscal impact on the operations of the State Board of Elections. However, each election authority in the State of Illinois (of which there are 110) would need to update all absentee ballot applications to accommodate this change. As you will be adding a new check-off category, applications already in stock will need to be destroyed and new applications printed. The exact costs will need to be determined by each individual county and/or election commission. They too will be the entity that absorbs the costs.
