Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a police vehicle may not travel at a speed that would result in a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property, except when pursuing a fleeing vehicle containing a driver or passenger who is suspected of first degree murder, second degree murder, aggravated kidnaping, kidnaping, aggravated criminal sexual assault, predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, criminal sexual assault, or aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Effective immediately.
