Synopsis As Introduced
Requires providers of court-ordered drug treatment services as a condition of probation to notify the circuit clerk of the court that ordered the treatment within 24 hours after treatment is terminated or no longer being provided, regardless of the reason. Provides that the providers shall refund to the court any amount paid for services not provided on a per diem basis.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Changes the time period within which the provider of drug treatment services shall notify the circuit clerk that treatment is terminated or no longer being provided from 24 hours to 7 working days.

Governor Amendatory Veto Message
Recommends that the language be changed to require providers to refund to the court any amount paid via court-funded or court-contracted services not paid (rather than paid for services not provided) on a per diem basis.
