Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act. Permits a public body to hold a closed meeting to consider prevention of and response to dangers to public safety and property. Exempts from inspection and copying requirements (i) a public body's records compiled for emergency and security procedures, to the extent disclosure would interfere with planning, training, and security, and (ii) information that could compromise the security of public or private personnel or property or emergency or disaster training, response, and recovery. Effective immediately.

Adds reference to:
5 ILCS 120/1.01

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Open Meetings Act. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the short title.

Deletes everything. Amends the Open Meetings Act. Permits a closed meeting to discuss threats to the security of the public. Amends the Freedom of Information Act. Exempts the following from the Act's inspection and copying requirements: (i) construction related technical documents for projects, to the extent disclosure would compromise security; (ii) vulnerability assessments, security measures, and response procedures for attacks, and (iii) maps and other records with respect to utility locations.
