Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Makes technical changes in a Section regarding the Secretary of State.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
625 ILCS 5/2-103
Adds reference to:
625 ILCS 5/7-310from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 7-310

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Provides that, when a person whose driving privileges have been suspended for failure to pay a judgment files a petition for discharge in bankruptcy, the person's driving privileges shall remain suspended and shall not be renewed, and a license or registration may not be issued to the person, until he or she provides the required proof of financial responsibility. Provides that the person must maintain proof of financial responsibility, in a manner satisfactory to the Secretary of State, for 3 years after the date on which the proof is first filed.
