Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Department's powers and duties.
Deletes everything. Amends the State Police Act. Effective July 1, 2003: (i) provides that all State Police Officers, regardless of rank, shall receive a longevity increment at the start of their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6 1/2, 8th, 10th, 12 1/2, 15th, 17 1/2, 20th, 22 1/2, and 25th years of service with the Illinois State Police amounting to approximately 5% of a trooper's salary for the year preceding that service anniversary (now, increments received at 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries) and (ii) provides for the establishment of a minimum salary level for the ranks of State Police Officers in each longevity step based on Trooper's Lodge 41 sworn salary contract schedule. Provides a formula for the accrual of vacation time and requires the State to provide the same percentage of pension contributions for all State Police Officers, regardless of rank. Effective immediately.
