Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides for an exception to provisions that prohibit law enforcing public officials from having a direct interest in the manufacture, sale, or distribution of alcoholic liquor when the premises are not licensed by the jurisdiction of the official (now, not located in the territory subject to the jurisdiction of the official). Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything. Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that an alderman or member of a city council or commission, a member of a village board of trustees, other than the president, or a member of a county board, other than the president, may have a direct interest in a manufacturer or distributor of alcoholic liquor if he or she is not a law enforcing public official. Effective immediately.
