Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Asbestos Abatement Authority Act. Renames the Attorney General's Asbestos Litigation Division as the Environmental Enforcement-Asbestos Litigation Division. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 2
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill. Further provides that the Environmental Enforcement-Asbestos Litigation Division shall enforce laws, rules, and regulations that protect the State's environment. Provides for asbestos abatement costs recovered by the Division, including damages, penalties, and attorney's fees, to be deposited into the Asbestos Abatement Fund. Effective immediately.
