Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Health Maintenance Organization Act. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the short title.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
215 ILCS 125/1-1
Adds reference to:
215 ILCS 5/356z.4

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. In provisions concerning coverage for contraceptives, provides that the services, drugs, and devices required to be covered are not required to be contained in any policy or plan issued to or by a religious institution or organization or to or by an entity sponsored by a religious institution or organization that finds the services, drugs, and devices to violate its religious and moral teachings and beliefs. Effective immediately.

 Judicial Note (Admin Office of the Illinois Courts)
 As amended by House Amendment 1, Senate Bill 827 would neither increase nor decrease the number of judges needed in the State.

 Fiscal Note (Department of Insurance)
 Passage of this bill as amended would have no fiscal impact on the Department of Insurance.

 State Debt Impact Note (Economic and Fiscal Commission)
 As amended, would not change the amount of authorization for any type of State-issued or State-supported bond, and therefore, would not affect the level of State indebtedness.

 Housing Affordability Impact Note (Housing Development Authority)
 As amended by House Amendment 1, there is no fiscal effect on a single-family residence.

 Correctional Note (Dept of Corrections)
 As amended by House Amendment 1, there is no corrections population or fiscal impact on the Department.
