Synopsis As Introduced Amends the County Code. Provides that the county auditor, the county clerk, the public defender, the recorder, the State's attorney, and the treasurer shall make purchases of equipment in accord with any ordinance that is applicable to all county offices and that requires centralized purchasing through another county office or through the State. Effective January 1, 2006.
House Committee Amendment No. 1 Further amends the Counties Code. Provides that county officials that make equipment purchases of $20,000 or more (now, no limit) shall follow any county ordinance for authorized purchasing.
