Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that all property upon which the first installment of taxes remains unpaid on the first installment date (now, June 1) shall be deemed delinquent and shall bear interest after the first installment date (now, June 1). Provides that all property upon which the second installment of taxes remains due and unpaid on the second installment date (now, September 1) shall be deemed delinquent and shall bear interest after the second installment date (now, September 1). Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that all property upon which the first installment of taxes remains unpaid on the later of June 1 or the day after the first installment due date (instead of "the first installment date" in the introduced bill) shall be deemed delinquent and shall bear interest after that date. Provides that all property upon which the second installment of taxes remains due and unpaid on the later of September 1 or the day after the second installment due date (instead of "the second installment date" in the introduced bill) shall be deemed delinquent and shall bear interest after that date. Effective immediately.
