Synopsis As Introduced
Contains a preamble concerning Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation declaring all counties in the State of Illinois as a disaster area on March 9, 2020, and other matters. Pursuant to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act, orders the following: (1) amends Executive Orders 2020-05 and 2020-10 by making changes concerning human services operations, citations to statutes and rules, terminology, and other matters; (2) for the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation, provisions of the Unified Code of Corrections requiring the Department of Corrections to provide no less than 14 days' notice to the relevant State's Attorneys if an inmate receives an earlier release date resulting from earned sentence credit for good conduct, is suspended; in connection with any release under those provisions, the Department of Corrections will take steps to ensure that the State's Attorneys are notified as far in advance or as quickly as possible.
