Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Health Maintenance Organization Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Adds reference to:
215 ILCS 5/356w

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Insurance Code in the provision concerning diabetes self-management training and education. Provides that diabetes self-management training shall include education programs that allow the patient to maintain an A1c level within the range identified in nationally recognized standards of care.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause with the engrossed bill and the following change. Specifies that the included education programs are those defined by the contract of insurance.
