Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Telephone Solicitations Act. Provides that it is a violation of the Act to make or cause to be made a telephone solicitation call to any cellular phone unless the solicitor knows that the person receiving the call will not have to pay for receiving the call. Amends the Public Utilities Act. Exempts commercial mobile radio service (cell-phone) providers from certain reporting requirements. Also exempts them from the requirement that all reports made to the Commission shall be open to public inspection. Includes technical corrections. Effective on January 1, 2004.
