Synopsis As Introduced
Appropriates $2 from the General Revenue Fund to the Teachers' Retirement System for its FY12 ordinary and contingent expenses. Effective July 1, 2011.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Appropriates $2,405,172,000 from the Common School Fund to the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS) for the State's contributions, as provided by law. Appropriates $1,300,000 from the Education Assistance Fund to TRS for additional costs due to the establishment of minimum retirement allowances. Appropriates $10,449,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Public School Teachers' Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago for the State's contribution for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011. Effective July 1, 2011.
