New Act |
Fiscal Note, House Committee Amendment No. 1 (Capital Development Board) | |
LEED Silver certification increases costs over standard construction by an amount between 2%-6%. Gold and Platinum certifications increase costs over standard construction by an amount between 4%-8%. The amount of the increases is dependent on the use of the building, the location, and other such factors. If a capital program includes $200 million in new or major renovation that meets the criteria of the bill then costs can be expected to increase between $8 million and $16 million. CDB does however already include increased budgets for LEED based on the criteria in the bill. |
