Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987. Defines "current retail price". Provides that upon a request made in person or by telephone by any person, a pharmacist must disclose the current retail price of any brand or generic prescription drug or medical device that the pharmacy offers for sale to the public.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987. Defines "current usual and customary retail price". Provides that upon request, a pharmacy must disclose the current usual and customary retail price of any brand or generic prescription drug or medical device that the pharmacy offers for sale to the public. Provides that the disclosure requirement applies only to requests made in person or by telephone for the prices of no more than 10 prescription drugs or medical devices for which the person making the request has a prescription and requests made in writing by a State governmental office or agency for the purposes of conducting a survey.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Removes the provision that states that the disclosure agreement applies to requests made in writing by a State governmental office or agency for the purpose of conducting a survey.
