Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Illinois Freedom to Work Act. Provides any covenant not to compete or covenant not to solicit entered into after the effective date of the amendatory Act shall not be enforceable with respect to professionals licensed in this State who provide mental health services to veterans and first responders. Effective immediately.
Senate Floor Amendment No. 1 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Freedom to Work Act. Provides that any covenant not to compete or covenant not to solicit entered into after the effective date of the amendatory Act shall not be enforceable with respect to the provision of mental health services to veterans and first responders by any licensed mental health professional in the State if the enforcement of the covenant not to compete or covenant not to solicit would result in an undue burden on veterans or first responders seeking mental health services. Defines terms. Effective immediately.
