Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Creates the Licensure Reform Task Force within the Division of Professional Regulation of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to conduct formal hearings about the Division's licensing procedures and to develop and propose policies to reduce the Division's licensing processing. Sets forth the membership of the Task Force. Provides that the members of the Licensure Reform Task Force representing specific industries shall serve for a 2-year period. Provides that the members of the Licensure Reform Task Force shall serve without compensation for the duration of the Task Force. Provides that the Licensure Reform Task Force shall meet quarterly at a time and date it deems appropriate. Provides that the Task Force may conduct formal hearings through online portals. Provides that the Licensure Reform Task Force shall submit a report to the General Assembly and the Governor after every 2 quarterly meetings. Provides that these provisions will be repealed on December 31, 2030.
