AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2179

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2179, AS AMENDED, 
3by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:
 
5    "Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is 
6amended by adding Section 92 as follows:
 
7    (210 ILCS 9/92 new)
8    Sec. 92. Incident and accident reporting. An establishment 
9must report to the Department any incident or accident that 
10results in significant physical harm or injury to a resident 
11or any situation where a resident requires outside emergent 
12medical treatment as a direct result of an incident or 
13accident. A change in a resident's condition that is due to 
14health or medical decline is not a reportable incident or 
15accident.".
