AN ACT concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Park District Code is amended by changing Section 8-13 as follows:

(70 ILCS 1205/8-13) (from Ch. 105, par. 8-13)

Sec. 8-13. In addition to the other powers and authority now possessed by it, every park district may enter into a lease for a period of not to exceed 8 5 years for such equipment and machinery as may be required for corporate purposes when authorized by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the governing board of the park district.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
