410 ILCS 625/3.08 new

Amends the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act. Requires all food service establishments using latex gloves in handling or preparing food to display an allergenic notice.

AN ACT concerning health.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act is amended by adding Section 3.08 as follows:

(410 ILCS 625/3.08 new)

Sec. 3.08. Latex glove notice. A food service establishment shall not use latex gloves in handling or preparing food unless the establishment prominently displays a notice bearing the following message: "Allergy Warning: This food service establishment uses latex gloves in handling and preparing food.".
