1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and
5 Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 2310-455 as follows:

7     (20 ILCS 2310/2310-455 new)
8     Sec. 2310-455. Federal funding to support maternal mental
9 health.
10     (a) The Department shall investigate and apply for federal
11 funding opportunities to support maternal mental health, to the
12 extent that programs are financed, in whole, by federal funds.
13     (b) The Department shall file a report with the General
14 Assembly on or before January 1, 2021 of the Department's
15 efforts to secure and utilize the federal funding it receives
16 from the requirement specified in subsection (a).
17     (c) This Section is repealed on January 1, 2022.
