SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
40 ILCS 5/2-168 new
40 ILCS 5/14-157 new
40 ILCS 5/15-203 new
40 ILCS 5/16-207 new
40 ILCS 5/18-171 new

    Amends the General Assembly, State Employee, State Universities, Downstate Teachers, and Judges Articles of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that by no later than July 1, 2021, each System shall establish and post on its website a searchable database of the names of all persons receiving an annuity from the System and the amount of the annuity paid by the System to that person each month. Requires the database to be updated on a monthly basis. Provides that under no circumstances shall the information in that database include the name of any annuitant under the age of 18 or any identifying information other than the annuitant's name and the amount of annuity paid to that annuitant each month. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding
5Sections 2-168, 14-157, 15-203, 16-207, and 18-171 as follows:
 
6    (40 ILCS 5/2-168 new)
7    Sec. 2-168. Annuitant database. By no later than July 1,
82021, the System shall establish and post on its website a
9searchable database of the names of all persons receiving an
10annuity from the System and the amount of the annuity paid by
11the System to that person each month. The database established
12under this Section shall be updated on a monthly basis. Under
13no circumstances shall the database established under this
14Section include the name of any annuitant under the age of 18
15or any identifying information other than the annuitant's name
16and the amount of annuity paid to that annuitant each month.
 
17    (40 ILCS 5/14-157 new)
18    Sec. 14-157. Annuitant database. By no later than July 1,
192021, the System shall establish and post on its website a
20searchable database of the names of all persons receiving an
21annuity from the System and the amount of the annuity paid by

15    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16becoming law.
