HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to commend Myles A. Naughton on his
4outstanding contributions to the Arlington Heights Park
5District; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Myles Naughton has served as a commissioner of the
7Arlington Heights Park District for twelve years; he has served
8with distinction as Vice President of the Board of
9Commissioners for six years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Myles Naughton has assisted staff in the purchase
11of many properties for the expansion of District parks or
12operations by contributing his expertise in business and real
13estate; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Myles Naughton was influential in the promotion
15and development of numerous intergovernmental agreements with
16local school districts, park districts, villages, businesses,
17and the Village of Arlington Heights; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Myles Naughton has assisted in the acquisition,
19design, development, and renovation of premier Park District
20recreation areas and facilities, including Camelot, Frontier,
21the Olympic/Arlington Ridge Center, the Pioneer Community

1Centers, the Olympic Indoor Swim Center, the Davis Service
2Center, the Forest View Racquet & Fitness Club, the Heritage
3Tennis Club, Melas Park, the Sunset Meadows Athletic Turf, the
4Memorial Park & Sculpture, Arlington Lakes Golf Course &
5Clubhouse, and Lake Arlington; and
 
6    WHEREAS, As a board member, Myles Naughton has exhibited
7ingenuity, individuality, and insight that resulted in
8creative programming, outstanding facilities, and dedicated
9services for the residents of Arlington Heights; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Myles Naughton was raised in Arlington Heights; he
11and his wife, Nancy, chose to raise their four daughters as
12residents of Arlington Heights, where he has been a leader in
13the community and served on the Arlington Heights Youth
14Athletic Association Board; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
16HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17we commend Myles A. Naughton on his loyal and dedicated service
18to the Arlington Heights Park District; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to Myles Naughton as an expression of our esteem and
21respect.
