HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Carbondale as they celebrate 100 years of serving their community; and

WHEREAS, The New Zion Missionary Baptist Church family has made a positive impact in the lives of countless people; and

WHEREAS, The City of Carbondale and the surrounding area will forever be a better place because of the work performed by the dedicated staff, volunteers, and congregation that worship at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, The congregation of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church firmly believes that the greatest way to serve is to serve others; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church on the occasion of its 100th anniversary celebration; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to Pastor Darryl K. Cox and to the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Carbondale and its entire church family.
