SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph James Cannon of Bloomington, who
4passed away on April 16, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was born in Charleston, Missouri to
6Houston B. and Willie Mae Lewis Cannon on January 14, 1943; he
7served in the U.S. Army; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was known as an excellent cook,
9singer, and artist; he enjoyed fishing and spending time with
10his family; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was preceded in death by his parents
12and his son, Joey Cannon; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon is survived by his children, Renee
14Oliver, Sonia Cannon, Shea Cannon, and Tracy Curlee; his
15siblings, Carl Cannon, Doris Woods, and Charles Harris; and his
16many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Joseph James Cannon and extend our sincere condolences to his
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3presented to the family of Joseph Cannon as an expression of
4our deepest sympathy.
