SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert O. Marsh of Barclay, who passed
4away on March 28, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Marsh was born in Springfield to Edward and
6Elizabeth Lyons Marsh on July 29, 1942; he married Judy Miller
7on October 19, 1961; he served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to
81966 and earned the National Defense Service Medal; and
 
9    WHEREAS, After his years of service, Robert Marsh worked as
10a machinist at Fiat-Allis and as a machine repair specialist at
11Bunn-O-Matic for 15 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Marsh was a lifelong resident in and around
13the Riverton area; he was a member of the American Legion and
14Country Gamblers Dance Club; he enjoyed watching NASCAR, mowing
15the grass, and spending time with his family, especially his
16grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Marsh was preceded in death by his parents
18and his sisters, Francis Bliss and Charlene Kresse; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Marsh is survived by his wife, Judy; his
20daughters, Edwina (John) Nally, Shelly (Jeff) Kinner, and Shawn

1(Bob) Ryan; his son, Robert (Joni) Marsh; his 17 grandchildren;
2his nine great-grandchildren; his sister, Barbara (Harvey)
3Lomelino; his several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his
4beloved cat, Tinker Bell; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Robert O. Marsh and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Robert Marsh as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
