SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Estella Pruett of Staunton, who passed away on February 24, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Estella Pruett was born in Omphghent Township, Madison County to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Henke on February 10, 1932; she married Robert Pruett on June 14, 1952; and

WHEREAS, Estella Pruett was the area cake decorator and baked many wedding and birthday cakes; and

WHEREAS, Estella Pruett was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton; and

WHEREAS, Estella Pruett was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert; and

WHEREAS, Estella Pruett is survived by her children, Deanna (Charles) Taylor, Rita (the late William) Watters, and Lonnie (Jean) Pruett; her grandchildren, Robert (Laura) Taylor, Lisa (Jim) Sharp, Amber (Mark) Da Gama Rose, Michael (Liz) Watters, Kimberly (the late Phillip) Simmons, Nicole (Joshua) Montoya, and Beth Pruett; and her 11 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Estella Pruett and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Estella Pruett as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
