SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Paul Quirk of Shipman, who passed away on
4March 7, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Paul Quirk was born in Kemper to John Henry and
6Mary Josephine (Kirsch) Quirk on July 29, 1932; he married
7Geneva F. Baker in Shipman on July 21, 1951; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Paul Quirk was a laborer who worked out of the
9Labor Local #338 in Wood River and the Shipman Laborers Local
10695, where he served as business agent for many years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Paul Quirk was a member of the Macoupin County
12Board for over 20 years and served on many committees; he was a
13member and Past Governor of the Jerseyville Moose, where he
14received his Pilgrim Degree; he was a 4th Degree Knight with
15the Jerseyville Knights of Columbus; he enjoyed family and
16friends and was always eager to share a joke; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Paul Quirk was preceded in death by his parents;
18his sisters, Mary Maupin and Veronica Waltrip; and his brother,
19Leo Quirk; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Paul Quirk is survived by his wife, Geneva; his

1daughters, Brenda (Mark) Enright and Nancy (Ben) Stinnett; his
2sons, Paul (Sharon) Quirk and Rick (Linda) Quirk; his
3grandchildren, Christy and Chucker Darr, Tiffany and Eric
4Wagener, Derek and Lindsey Parker, Melissa Parker, Brienna
5Parker, Jennifer and Jason Baumann, Chris Quirk and Crystal
6Beasley, Jon Stinnett and Heather Campbell, and Jo-Anna and
7Like Ivers; his great-grandchildren, Charlie Darr, Alyssa and
8Ethan Wagener, Tye and Cam Parker, Tyler and Caitlin Baumann,
9Addyson and Reagan Quirk, Annabelle and Lucy Stinnett, and
10Geneva Ivers; his brother, Louis (Barb) Quirk; and his
11sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Georgia and Larry Bray,
12Darlene and Lester Large, Roy Lee Baker, and Dan Baker;
13therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Paul Quirk and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
17friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Paul Quirk as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
