SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carol J. Riley, who passed away on November 29, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Carol Riley was born in Waukegan to Cecil and Marion (Andersen) Brecheisen on February 17, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Carol Riley greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Carol Riley was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Terrence Tiernan; and

WHEREAS, Carol Riley is survived by her husband of 50 years, William C. Riley; her sister, Marjery Tiernan; her children, Julie (Todd) Niemiec, Robert (Andrea), and Darren (Deborah); and her grandchildren, Sara, Grace, Mark, Brett, Erin, Emily, and Shane; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Carol J. Riley and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carol Riley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
