| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Clarence "Butch" Erickson of | 4 | | Reynolds, who passed away on May 9, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Butch Erickson was born to Edd and Mildred | 6 | | (Bingman) Erickson in Rock Island on February 11, 1930; he | 7 | | served in the U.S. Army; he married Donna J. Doonan at St. | 8 | | John's Church in Preemption on March 3, 1955; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Butch Erickson was previously employed as a | 10 | | petroleum salesman for MER-ROC F.S., Inc.; after more than 30 | 11 | | years of service, he retired in 1992; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Butch Erickson was a member of Reynolds American | 13 | | Legion Post #1166 for over 50 years; he also served as a | 14 | | trustee for the Reynolds Fire Department; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Butch Erickson was a true handyman and was | 16 | | lovingly known as the "fix it guy" who enjoyed helping his | 17 | | family with all types of chores; he loved being outdoors, | 18 | | playing golf, and drinking coffee with his friends and family; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Butch Erickson was preceded in death by his |

| 1 | | parents and his brothers, Ralph, Delbert, Clyde, and William | 2 | | Erickson; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Butch Erickson is survived by his wife, Donna; | 4 | | his children, Jim (Jean) Erickson and JoAnn Erickson; his | 5 | | grandchildren, Luke (Kathleen) Erickson, Seth (Meredith) | 6 | | Erickson, Jake (Carrie) Erickson, Mathew (Patricia) McGraw, | 7 | | Chelsea (Jason) Schlueter, Allie (Travis) Fleming, and Maria | 8 | | McGraw; and his 14 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Clarence "Butch" Erickson and extend our sincere condolences | 12 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 13 | | it further
