SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lawrence L. "Larry" Heaton of Moline, who passed away on October 6, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Larry Heaton was born to Clarence A. and Ardis V. (Hatfield) Heaton in Springfield, Ohio on September 12, 1937; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Karen Yeoman in Toledo, Ohio on March 26, 1989; and

WHEREAS, Larry Heaton retired from Sivyer Steel Foundry in Bettendorf, Iowa; and

WHEREAS, Larry Heaton enjoyed bass fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan; and

WHEREAS, Larry Heaton is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Tony (Shirley) Dean, James (Melanie) Kirk, and Leila Morris; his grandchildren, Brent, Brooke, Kaitlyn, Leslie, and Lexie; his sister, Joyce (Larry) Bradshaw; and his brother, Robert Heaton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lawrence L. "Larry" Heaton and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Larry Heaton as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
