SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lowell W. Titterington of Taylor Ridge, who passed away on August 29, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington was born to Clifford and Florence Bruchmann Titterington in rural Taylor Ridge on August 5, 1931; he graduated from the former Reynolds High School; he married Phyllis Ann Boney at the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church on March 2, 1952; he served in the U.S. Army as a field communication crewman during the Korean War from 1954 to 1956; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington farmed in the Taylor Ridge area all of his life; he was also employed at John Deere Harvester in East Moline before retiring in 1987; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington was a member of the Edgington Presbyterian Church and the Andalusia Masonic Lodge No. 516; his passion was stained glass art, and he created many beautiful pieces throughout the years; he enjoyed flying airplanes, traveling as a member of the Friendship Force Club, fishing with his grandchildren, and being with his family; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his daughters, Karen (Les) Price, Kathy (Kevin) Patterson, Lisa (Butch) Carver, and Lori (Paul) Rash; his grandchildren, Amber, Kaitlyn, Kelly, Ralph, Joshua, Julia, and Jenna; his great-grandchildren, Clayton, Easton, and Ayla; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lowell W. Titterington and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lowell Titterington as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
