SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

225 ILCS 410/1-14 new

Amends the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985. Provides that for all minimum course requirements under the Act, up to 25% of the total hours may be provided online for related theory courses and a portion of related practicum courses.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985 is amended by adding Section 1-14 as follows:

Sec. 1-14. Online curriculum hours maximum. For all minimum course requirements under this Act, up to 25% of the total hours may be provided online for related theory courses and a portion of related practicum courses. This Section is subject to the rules of the Department.
