SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
225 ILCS 410/1-14 new

    Amends the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985. Provides that for all minimum course requirements under the Act, up to 25% of the total hours may be provided online for related theory courses and a portion of related practicum courses.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair
5Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985 is amended by adding
6Section 1-14 as follows:
 
7    (225 ILCS 410/1-14 new)
8    Sec. 1-14. Online curriculum hours maximum. For all
9minimum course requirements under this Act, up to 25% of the
10total hours may be provided online for related theory courses
11and a portion of related practicum courses. This Section is
12subject to the rules of the Department.
