SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 2805/39 new

Amends the Department of Veterans' Affairs Act. Provides that, for the purpose of identifying veterans' programs that should be added, improved, or eliminated, the Department of Veteran Affairs shall submit to the General Assembly an annual report that includes a listing of all State programs for veterans, the number of veterans served by each program, and the annual cost of each program. Provides that the report shall be submitted to the General Assembly by February 1st of each year.

AN ACT concerning veterans.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Veterans' Affairs Act is amended by adding Section 39 as follows:

Sec. 39. Annual report on veterans' affairs programs. For the purpose of identifying veterans' programs that should be added, improved, or eliminated, the Department of Veteran Affairs shall submit to the General Assembly an annual report that includes a listing of all State programs for veterans, the number of veterans served by each program, and the annual cost of each program. The report shall be submitted to the General Assembly by February 1st of each year.
