HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Dave Dahl on being the first to be named Outstanding Illinois Father by the Illinois Council on Responsible Fatherhood in October of 2022; and

WHEREAS, Dave Dahl is father to 25-year-old Clifford Dahl, who has a rare neurological condition called Batten disease that affects a person's brain and nervous system, and this disease has caused Clifford to lose his sight and require significant living assistance; and

WHEREAS, Dave Dahl and his wife, Corrina Dahl, have diligently been by Clifford's side as his health has worsened since contracting COVID-19, in addition to providing support to their younger son, Isaac Dahl; and

WHEREAS, As news director at WTAX, Dave Dahl often reports on stories happening in Springfield and at the Capitol Building, and many Illinois representatives and politicians have come to know that Dave Dahl is a wonderful father who has a great deal of love for his son and his entire family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dave Dahl on being named the first Outstanding Illinois Father and recognize his dedication to his son and his family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dave Dahl as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
