HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Melanie Falk began her career with the City of Macomb on July 19, 1982 as a secretary in the Zoning and Assessor's Office; and

WHEREAS, In March of 1986, Melanie Falk transferred to the City Clerk's Office as a Secretary II, was later promoted to the position of Executive Secretary, and was then appointed Deputy City Clerk in December of 1994; and

WHEREAS, Melanie Falk campaigned and was elected as Macomb City Clerk in February 1999 and was sworn into office on May 4th of that year; and

WHEREAS, Melanie Falk continued to be re-elected for six additional consecutive four-year terms; she was sworn into office in May of 2003, May of 2007, May of 2011, May of 2015, and May of 2019; and

WHEREAS, Melanie Falk is supported by her loving husband, Mike, her daughters, Morgan and Macie, and her grandsons, Rhett and Easton; and

WHEREAS, Melanie Falk is celebrating her 40th anniversary serving the City of Macomb and its citizens; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare July 19, 2022 as Melanie Falk Day in the State of Illinois.
