HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Inez Anderson-Washington who passed away on February 19, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Inez Anderson-Washington was born to James and Lula Anderson in Coater, Missouri on April 28, 1929; she later moved to Arkansas, where she went to grammar school, and then moved to Marshall, Missouri, where she attended Banner High School; she married Robert Clark Washington, and the couple eventually moved to Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Inez Anderson-Washington worked at ABC Foods in Chicago for 19 years and Bethel Life for nine years; and

WHEREAS, After retiring, Inez Anderson-Washington volunteered at an early childhood development program in Maywood; she loved her family and was always willing to lend a hand, no matter the task; and

WHEREAS, Inez Anderson-Washington was preceded in death by her three children, Donald Clark, Charles Edwards, and Loualice; and

WHEREAS, Inez Anderson-Washington is survived by her two daughters, Princella, and Darlene; her 13 grandchildren; her 23 great-grandchildren; her 8 great-great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and her friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Inez Anderson-Washington and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Inez Anderson-Washington as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
