HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Nick Vogt on the occasion of one of his students being named a 2020 Student Art Ambassador by the Illinois Art Education Association (IAEA); and

WHEREAS, Nick Vogt's student, Kimberly Fitzsimmons, was named one of 44 student art ambassadors featured in the 2020 IAEA State-wide Student Art Show, which is a juried art show that represents Illinois' K-12th grade art curriculum and showcases as many different art teachers and their students as possible to exemplify best practices throughout the State; and

WHEREAS, Nick Vogt has been teaching art at Pontiac Township High School for 13 years; he also serves as the faculty adviser of the art club and as coach of the boys and girls tennis teams; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Nick Vogt on his exemplary teaching being showcased by the Illinois Art Education Association and thank him for his dedication to the students of Pontiac Township High School; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Nick Vogt as an expression of our esteem and respect.
