HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc. was founded in Carlinville and has supplied quality products and services to the diesel market for over 45 years; and

WHEREAS, In addition to its Carlinville branch, Area Diesel Service, Inc. has expanded with branches in Pleasant Hill, Iowa and Indianapolis, Indiana; and

WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc. chose to work with the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) in devoting time and resources to becoming ISO 9001:2015 certified and embracing ISO standards as part of their business; and

WHEREAS, With the new certification, Area Diesel Service, Inc. expects higher sales and has created and retained 50 jobs so far in Carlinville while investing in their workforce practices and employee skills; and

WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc.'s accomplishment in working with IMEC to gain ISO 9001:2015 certification fosters recognition of quality business processes, product environments, management system development, and documentation with continual review and objectives for improvement; and

WHEREAS, Area Diesel Service, Inc.'s leadership devoted their resources to incorporating the company's existing philosophy of providing high levels of customer service and satisfaction into a consistent standard for the entire business operation; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Area Diesel Service, Inc. on their achievement of earning ISO 9001:2015 certification with support from the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Illinois House of Representative thanks the employees of Area Diesel Service, Inc. for continuing their high quality work in Illinois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Area Diesel Service, Inc. of Carlinville as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
