1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Three Rivers
4 Association of REALTORS on the occasion of its 100th
5 anniversary of being part of the National Association of
6 REALTORS; and

7     WHEREAS, The Joliet–Will County Board of REALTORS was
8 founded in 1916 and became part of the National Association of
9 REALTORS in 1921; and

10     WHEREAS, The organization became known as the Will County
11 Board of REALTORS in 1979 and the Will County Association of
12 REALTORS in 1989; and

13     WHEREAS, The organization expanded their geographic
14 footprint to include Grundy County and became the Will-Grundy
15 Association of REALTORS in 1996; and

16     WHEREAS, The organization took their current form and
17 became the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS in 2003; and

18     WHEREAS, Throughout the Three Rivers Association of
19 REALTORS 100-year history as part of the National Association
20 of REALTORS, it has upheld the highest ethical standards while

1 serving as the "Voice of Real Estate" in Will and Grundy
2 Counties and the surrounding area; and

3     WHEREAS, The Three Rivers Association of REALTORS has
4 provided services to generations of members in areas of
5 Leadership, Multiple Listing Service Access, Professional
6 Standards, Continuing Education, Advocacy, Industry and Social
7 Events, and Community Outreach; therefore, be it

8     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
9 HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10 we congratulate the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS,
11 President Edward Ruettiger IV, President-Elect Gilbert Kirby,
12 Secretary-Treasurer Elisabeth Stopka-Rios, Chief Executive
13 Officer Neil Malone, and their staff and the entire past and
14 present membership on the occasion of the association's 100th
15 anniversary, and we wish them many more years of success as
16 they begin their second century of service; and be it further

17     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS as an
19 expression of our high esteem and best wishes.
