HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Westchester Village President Frank J. Perry, who passed away on December 22, 2021; and

WHEREAS, President Perry was born in Westchester on December 30, 1970; he was raised in Westchester and graduated from St. Joseph High School; and

WHEREAS, President Perry was the former owner of Joe's Place Restaurant and Concetta's Salon; he also coached the Westchester girls' softball team for many years; he served as a village trustee for 10 years; and

WHEREAS, President Perry became village president of Westchester in April 2021; before and during his brief tenure, he started many initiatives that served the infrastructure, community, and morale of Westchester; he worked hard for and was dedicated to his community; and

WHEREAS, President Perry was a member of the West Central Municipal Conference and the Divine Infant Knights of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, President Perry was a devoted husband, father, family member, community member, and churchgoer; he was known for his infectious smile, his generosity, and the unending love he had for his community; he was a friend to many who will continue to honor his memory and work; and

WHEREAS, President Perry was the best friend and husband of Peggy (Cesarini) Perry; the father of Ava Lucia Perry; the son of the late Frank and Lucille Perry; the nephew of Gerald (Roe) Cantino; the cousin of Joey, Charlie, Caren, Cathy, and Geralyn; the son-in-law of Molly Williams and Joe Cesarini; and the companion of his dogs, Luca and Tino; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Westchester Village President Frank J. Perry and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of President Perry as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
