HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Lincoln Community High School dance team, the Railettes, on winning the 2022 Illinois Drill Team Association Class AA Pom Dance State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Railettes joined over 100 other junior high, junior varsity, and varsity teams in a 12-hour competition on February 12, 2022, finishing in first place in their division; and

WHEREAS, The Railettes are led by Coaches Jean Meinershagen and Brianna Lanning; and

WHEREAS, The Railettes team members are Captains Lydia Roland and Rachel Morrow, Claire Duffer, Julia Guzzardo, Makayla Koehne, Brynley Laubenstein, and Elly Martinez; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Lincoln Community High School dance team, the Railettes, on winning the 2022 Illinois Drill Team Association Class AA Pom Dance State Championship, and we commend their hard work, dedication, and team spirit; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to Coach Jean Meinershagen, Coach Brianna Lanning, and Lincoln Community High School Principal Todd Poelker as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
