HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to thank Jack Reid for his devotion to public service and for strengthening the Labor Movement; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from the University of Illinois in Springfield, Jack Reid began working in the Sangamon County Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, Jack Reid continued his work in public service by taking a job with Illinois Attorney General Neil Hartigan, where he served as the Director of Legislative Affairs and worked on the advance team; and

WHEREAS, From 1991 to 1994, Jack Reid worked for Illinois Treasurer Pat Quinn as Director of Legislative Affairs and served on the advance team; and

WHEREAS, In January of 1995, Jack Reid became the Legislative Director for the Laborers' Union Midwest Region; and

WHEREAS, From May of 2002 to December of 2014, Jack Reid served as the Regional Manager of the Laborers' International Union of North America; and

WHEREAS, In January of 2015, Jack Reid became the Director of Government Relations for Ullico, Inc; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jack Reid on the occasion of his retirement from Ullico, Inc, and we commend his long career in public service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jack Reid as an expression of our esteem and respect.
