Amends the Motor Vehicle Franchise Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the applicability of the Act.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning business.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Motor Vehicle Franchise Act is amended by changing Section 3 as follows:

(815 ILCS 710/3) (from Ch. 121 1/2, par. 753)

Sec. 3. Applicability of Act. Any person who engages directly or indirectly in purposeful contacts within this State in connection with the the offering or advertising for sale or has business dealings with respect to a motor vehicle within the State shall be subject to the provisions of this Act and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of this State.
