SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

30 ILCS 500/50-90 new

Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Provides that for all State-mandated supplier and vendor diversity filings, the filings shall include that the report is approved by the senior most executive for the supplier or vendor. Provides that if the supplier or vendor filing the report is a subsidiary of a company, the parent company shall also file the State-required diversity report.

AN ACT concerning finance.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by adding Section 50-90 as follows:

(30 ILCS 500/50-90 new)

Sec. 50-90. Diversity filing requirements. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, for all State-mandated supplier and vendor diversity filings, the filings shall include that the report is approved by the senior most executive for the supplier or vendor. If the supplier or vendor filing the report is a subsidiary of a company, the parent company shall also file the State-required diversity report.
