SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sam G. "Sonny" Argiris of Niles; and

WHEREAS, Sonny Argiris was a proud member of the Brotherhood of Achladokambiton; and

WHEREAS, Sonny Argiris was the beloved husband of 62 years of Bertha S. (Peppas) Argiris; the loving father of Dean, Peter, and James Argiris; the dear "Pappou" of Sam (Meghan), Alexandra, and Niko Argiris; the cherished son of the late Gust and Bessie (Geroulis) Argiris; the fond brother of the late Anna Argiris; the dear brother-in-law of the late William Peppas, Constance (the late Thomas) Gekas, and Stella (the late John) Cocalis; and uncle and cousin of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sam G. "Sonny" Argiris and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sonny Argiris as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
