SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Franklin Charles Lenberg of Moline, who passed away on April 5, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg was born in Kewanee to Peter and Mary (Rittenhouse) Lenberg on September 29, 1936; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Lila Springer in Gibson City in 1968; and

WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg worked for the National Licorice Company; he later retired from the J.C. Penney Company in Moline; and

WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg was a former member of the Gospel Temple in Moline and the Open Bible Church in East Moline; he enjoyed going to flea markets, reminiscing, and sharing stories; and

WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Franklin Lenberg is survived by his wife, Lila; his son, Todd Lenberg; and his many beloved in-laws and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Franklin Charles Lenberg and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Franklin Lenberg as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
